- Don't just passively read/look at the articles/posters
- Consider it a Section A text. Deconstruct it using media forms
- Look at style, word length, connotations, representation, costume, composition, mise-en-scene, eye line, tone.
- Look at codes and conventions, representation of star power and construction of character, brand values of production.
- Are they traditional (if so, why) or countertypical (also why)
- Features, such as ‘cosplay of the month’ = UGC
